More than 250,000 passengers have been processed through the TSA Pre✓™ vetting process and have received expedited screening. TSA Pre✓™ enhances security by enabling security officers to focus on passengers the agency considers high-risk and knows less about. This screening concept is part of the agency’s ongoing initiative to move away from a one-size-fits-all approach and towards a more intelligence-driven, risk-based security approach.
“This effort is one of many significant steps TSA has taken to keep Americans safe and we are stronger and more secure as a result,” said TSA Regional Director Joe Taney. “In conjunction with our partners at Minneapolis airport and Delta Air Lines, TSA Pre✓™ will allow the agency to focus its resources for better security and a better travel experience.”
