Buffalo Man Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges

BUFFALO, NY—U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced today that Michael Stubbs, 29, of Buffalo, N.Y., pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute and distribution of heroin, before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara. The charge carries a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison, a $1,000,000 fine, or both.
Assistant U.S. Attorney George C. Burgasser, who handled the case, stated that in April 2011, the defendant sold heroin on the West Side of Buffalo.
The plea is the culmination of an investigation by special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Christopher M. Piehota, Special Agent in Charge, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, under the direction of Resident Agent in Charge Frank Christiano.
